Porto marittimo fra i più importanti dell'Adriatico,soprattutto per quel che concerne le comunicazioni ed i commerci con i paesi gravitanti intorno al bacino orientale del Mediterraneo,Brindisi è anche una importante città industriale.

Collegata per via marittima,come si è già detto con il Levante e per via aerea con tutti gli altri paesi europei,questa città è divenuta,come poche altre,uno dei maggiori centri del Mezzogiorno.

Anche dal punto di vista storico ed artistico presenta elementi di notevole valore.

Ne cito solo alcuni:la Fontana di Tancredi,la Chiesa di San Benedetto,il Duomo,la Chiesetta si San Giovanni al Sepolcro,la Chiesa di Santa Maria del Casale

One of the most important Adriatic ports,above all for what concerns communications and trade with the countries around the eastern Meditterranean bacin,Brindisi is also an important industrial town.

Connected by sea,as already said,with the East and by air with all the other European countries,this town has become,like few others,one of the major certers of southern Italy.
There are also elements of considerable value from an artistic and historical point of view.

We will mentions only a few here:

the Fountain of Tancredi,the Church of San Benedetto,the Duomo,the little Church of San Giovanni al Sepolcro,the Church of Santa Maria del Casale.

Substantially Brindisi has the characteristic and yet common cross between the old and the new city:the former interesting and historical,the latter modern and functional.
